lg 60pg3000 psu question
« on: September 09, 2010,20:06:38 »
just got this set in.

tv clicks on then clicks back off after 5 seconds.  i have disconnected all boards but psu still acts the same so i suspect its psu.

the psu board part number in question is : EAX39187601/8  LGE P/N EAY41410101 ( PSPU-J703A)

I googled part number and it brings up http://shop.sjstv.co.uk/eay43521401-871-p.asp

the board looks identical apart from on the board in the link above one of the main power caps are missing but there is not one missing on mine.

from what i can see that one in link above is ( PSPU-J703b) where as the one i have is ( PSPU-J703A) is it just a diffrent revision board, would that board work?

thanks

Do the voltages, as per panel label, come up? Check FETs for DJ's and caps in supply for high ESR.

ho ozzie i have not checked the voltages yet as i found 3 fets that had short circuit i replaced them and still acts the same. board clicks on then shuts down about 5 seconds later.

i also noticed some diodes are short but cant read there markings to replace  :03:so was just going to cut my losses and order another board but unsure what the a & b mean i.e

( PSPU-J703 "A")

( PSPU-J703" B ")
