Hello people,  :sign0144:
I have just purchased a faulty Bauer xt32 with the common psu fault where the fsd210 IC blows.
I bought the basic ohm supplies kit to replace the faulty components. but I have noticed that the component L501 is fried, which doesn't seem to come with any of the kits and I have no idea what it is??? the service manual or any circuit diagrams seem to be unobtainable, so I am asking would any of you cleaver people on this forum have any ideas what this component is and where to get it from.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Hello eddolls

Done several, but don't recognise L501 - perhaps a piccy might be useful - Chris.

Thanks for the quick reply, I have circled on the piccy it looks like to diodes stuck together. The board looked burnt round that area and when I removed this strange little thing it fell apart.

Hi,

Just checked on a spare panel and L501 is just a wire link with a pair of ferrite beads. Notice it's on the drain of Q501 feeding T3 (24v supply transformer, perhaps) so might be a high pulsy current dry as in scan coil connectors of old.

All the best - Chris.;
