Hi folks,

This one is curious as it was one from recycling that worked but needed a RCU. Wiltsgrove didn't have one but AV UK did (IRM7080)
Found eventually after initial misery that if I held RCU an inch from sensor, it would function - changed the sensor - no different, heated main board - OK. Heated it again just to narrow things down - no go. Tried again after a couple of hours - OK
Just wonder if someone has had this one before  ?  Attach a piccy of set without the DVD - works that way too - Chris.

hello chris
had the same problem on a different set, drove me nuts, sometimes it was ok other times only worked if right in front of the sensor, turned out to be the plastic lens in front of the sensor, once removed all was well.
worth a go,you never know.

Thanks Daz,

Amusingly after finding it would work from an inch I removed sensor panel from behind the lens and it wouldn't then function at all. Range is now continuously variable, think to have a go resoldering some nearby chips.

Thanks again - Chris.
