do you have an ipos 150 rev1.8 psu from a bush idlcd32tv16hd. if not, would you have any idea where i could locate a 3.15a 250v fuse for this board. it is located on the board at f2, and is covered in green rubber.

hi mate if its a standard glass fuse you should be able to locate via ebay or ohm supplies i have worked on this board but never had a blown fuse always been the caps that need replacing still cheap and easy enough to do if it is the fuse there will be a letter before the rating ie t or f make sure you get the correct type .dave .ps usualy there are 2 caps close to the center top that will be bulging from the top. change them

you are right, the two caps you mention had bulged, so i did replace them but tv still only has sound, no picture.

after much searching, i found a thread where someone had the exact same problem, and after he replaced caps he found this fuse had blown.  After replacing fuse tv worked again.

the fuse in question is an axial fuse, coated in a green rubber sleeve locate at f2 on the board.

after i desoldered the fuse and circuit tested it i got no reading.

the tv sound still works with this fuse removed.

the only fuse i can find with the same ratings are radial fuses from rss, but i am not sure if these would be a good substitute.

hi john i do have another ipos power supply slightly different to the one your working on i will have a look for the fuse and desolder for you if it has one .also i have had an issue where by the backlight inverters sometimes cut out after a few minutes and come back on again than off and on and so on if this happens you will need to change all the caps including the ones under the heat sinks the far right heat sink has two small caps cant remember the values off hand but they are important for the cure ...ill get back to you .dave

hi john im sorry but the fuse i have is 6.3a from a larger set no doubt however found a good replacement at newark.com/littelfuse i just tapped in 3a axial in the search bar and that site seemed to have the best replacement unfortunatly its in the states but will probably ship to the uk will just take longer your welcome to my 6.3 just to see if the set fires up if you like cant be much more help im afraid

no worries dave, i'm grateful for the time you have already taken just to talk and try to help. dont want to risk a fuse with double the rating in case there is another fault that caused the fuse to blow.

think i will order a couple of radial fuses from rss just to see if the set does now fire up.

will post an update of how i got on.
