Hi, my above LCD Tv has the following symptoms when switched on:
1-The green led keeps blinking very fast
2-The picture is visible but flashing around every 0.5 second or faster
3-No sound but a sort of noise fluctuating at the same rate as the flashing picture.
4-The picture dissapair after around 1 minute of power on.
5-After a power off and on again the same above happen.

after a search of this woonderful web site, I could not find my TV (23W330DB). I opened the back and looked into the suspect Capacitors, but they looked pretty good to me.

Any help or pointer in the right direction would be verymuch appreciated.

thanks and best regards
Kad

Hi. Try warming the power supply with a hairdryer then switch the tv on,if the picture then comes on you are more than likley to have a faulty capacitor on the power supply. E/B

Thanks EarlyBird for the idea but that didn't help. No effect of the heat what so ever.

But I have noticed that when the TV is on AV (when the whole screen is supposed to be all uniform blue), I could see clearly like a light flashing along the right hand side of the screen while the left hand side of the screen is darker and the light is flashing just every now and then.

Any more ideas to try....

thanks in advance

Kad

Here's the pics and one video showing the screen flashing and the noise (sound).

Let me know if you need pics of the circuit boards?

Thanks
Kad

Hi,
On the back of the tV it says Toshiba SAM W2-L01 MB22 17MB22-2   Model 23W330DB.

Don't know if it is of any help but just in case it would give you a clue for finding a fix.
...that would make my xmas.

Hi Sparky,

Piccies were great, will study later. Have an attachment to show I'm not always on the recycling cart.

Curiously, like a certain Steptoe, we also have recycled plastic cadavers littered around the place - well, it's Norfolk, and folks do things different here - it's mostly reeds, swamp gas, cool Turkeys, and our own beloved  'Flowerdew' doing wonderous things with dead freezers - we do that, just all the time.

Poop - Gee, I've just ignited and turned blue - (need to live swampily) Chris.

PS - Confess, have the Singing postman (I've got a gal) on tap, but the best enebriates are Irish, with Dylan (Thomas) a close second - pouring for Crimble.
