proview ipos-150 power supply

hi all has anyone worked on this power supply before .iv replaced the usual 2x 450v 10uf in the middle which brought the disply back but now the ccfls shut down and re start intermitently the tv itself seems to be working ie signal etc but need these backlights to stay constant also noticed there is no usual blue operate led present tv model is bush idlcd32tv16hd ... chris noticed you posted a similar fault last year did you progress any further on it ???

Hi Davenjax,

'Course I did. As I recall, the Power went to Cornwall and the the Main to Liverpool - both folks said panels (or bits) did the biz - still got the screen and cabinet.

But for assured fun/depression read my old Quuq tale of Wo - can't win em all, even with Profilo's and decent caps, but C/J now has it covered - with Leeks -  Chris.

hi chris thanks for the reply im wondering if i may have faulty ccfls as the tv itself seems to be working but the backlights flicker on/off every few secs i replaced the 2 caps which is usualy the issue (they were bulging and thought luvly jubbly nice and easy ) but alas i get my usual luck as has been of lately . is it worth replacing the ccfls on these ?? the profit is dropping big time ... what with the cost of new tvs dropping rapidly .is it time to start fixing other things me wonders .dave

Still have cabinet and tubes - make my retirement fortune - post a bit wicked though - you're sounding like Sparky - no observations though, apart from what you're gonn'a fix that's still profitable  ? - Chris

PS - as an amusement - down at recycling today, and folks who drive the recycling cruncher, haven't thought or been told to renew their 3 Year crunching licence, and so can't legally crunch - recycling
is wicked - have to go there daily for a chuckle.
