lg 42lg5000 42" intermittant fault

hi im having trouble with an intermittant picture fault on my tv lg 42lg5000 .i have to switch it on and off a few times to get a perfect picture ,i have checked for any bulged caps on power and changed the lvds board and cable as i havnt a bottomless money pit so im asking for any advice that would be great a local supplier has all the same boards for this tv but after buying the lvds i feel at bit robbed lol

hi thanks for the advice i will try  i didnt think the screen was at fault as it can be fine for a couple of days then suddenly start throwing a wobbler but i  should of said in my first post that when you change channels when it goes distorted the sound changeds but the picture stays on the last image
the screen powers up fine then starts to run from the top left corner  very wierd then once powered off and on a few time its great all day ?

hi i connected the 42" to a 15" lcd today through scart but im not sure im doing it right as im getting no signal ? on the 15" .if i leave the tv powered on with the fault it sorts itself out i really want to fix rather than get rid

Hi,
I had a same tv las month and there was no other way than replacing the main board, psu did work
I had a colours on scart one and the the same screen by hdmi

i was thinking of changing the mainboard but as they are £50  i was holding off waiting for a set with smashed screen to turn up
i think i will buy one now
