hi
i have a technikalcd 42-207  and it has a 17pw16-2 psu, the set when plugged in, has the blue led at the bottom and a blank black screen with no sound, when i change the channel the blue led goes out for 5seconds and the screen flashes for a nano second then the blue led comes back on. any ideas?

Hi M/C,

As the PS isn't blown, would check main cap (see tons of back Vestel threads) and any secondary cap looking a bit bulgy.

There again - lots of back threads on Vestel 16-2 , and similar (they were mostly awful similar Power supplies)

Well, if it works - don't change it - too much - Chris.

Success

i looked at all the caps on the psu and they looked ok, so i tried to test them in situ the large 220uf 450v cap was open circuit and i changed that for one nearly the same and it now works  :67: it is now on test

thanks all
