PHILIPS 32 PFL5522D/12

PHILIPS 32 PFL5522D/12 working perfect when warm,picture and sound, but from cold out of standby screen turns red,or red vertical lines, If left on for 10 to 20 minites sound will come on and screen will turn blue with AVI selectin and will be perfect I have changed TCON BOARD 3 diferent ones, and replaced all caps on power suply board,all voltages correct, but no diference.

hi
if remember right you have to set system for new tcon board,look on bottom of case  for a sticker with
3 number code usualy 0xx
0xx equals number entered via remote 062598 menu then code ,check in manual first to see if this applies to your set

Hi,

Have this feeling that if it's OK when warm in this sort of instance -  it's the screen - have had several recently - just a thought - Chris

just a  thought try connecting scart out of faulty tv to another switch on if pic
is ok then prob screen faulty

Very common, definite screen fault. Check the LCD panel type, it will be a Sharp.

If you have an account with Philips they can supply a reworked panel on an exchange basis for a reasonable price but beware they only come with a 30 day warranty. Guess how I found that out!!!! :41:

Thanks sparky, it works perfect with scart to outher tv,
and yes In_focus its a Sharp panel.

Will try to find outher with good panel.
