Having read in previous posts some guys reporting success in repairing ribbon contact faults on lcd panels by the application of pressure pads between the outer metal frame and the screen i decided to give it a go ! The cust had already decided not to go ahead with a new screen so the set was donated hence if it didn't work nothing lost.
Fitted a pad to the contact strip on the far right of the screen and to my surprise the screen came up perfect !
Now I can't guarantee it'll last but under these circumstances I'd def recommend giving it a go ! :86:

Hi Jimca007,

Congrats - There was some talk that problems usually occur with the chips on the flexies becoming un-stuck - guess you're talking about flexy to top strip becoming dry   - ?

Hope it lasts - Chris.
