Vistron 37 No model number stuck in standby
scooby-doo:
Hi I have a problem with a Vistron 37" TV sorry there are no model numbers, but I need hel with what seems to be a usual fault.
The tv turns on to the blue standby light and nothing more, I have checked all the voltages from the PSU and all seem very good and on the button.
I keep coming across the main board having problems with the firmware having a mad fit, but I cannot find anywhere to sort the problem, has anyone had the same problems with this set, I believe it is the same with the 32 inch Vistron too.
The board I seem to be having problems with is HH.LCD-PCB.Y0-105 if that helps
Thanks for any help you can give on this one.

Hi S/D,
There's some back threads mentioning PS caps - a couple of 1000/10 and a 470/16 but no maker identified.
Pics are useful if you can't identify model or panel info - Chris.

Hi
Cheers Chris, all the caps are fine, all the voltages are all fine I am going down the same route as mulja, eeprom issues, the trouble is now is I cannot get any numbers off the back of the eeprom so I am struggling a little with this "Turkish Delight" :41:

Hi Guys
Sorry to intrude in discussion but Having similar probs with my Vistron 37 inch-
suspect the same signals mainboard as mentioned (psu seems OK)
Can u mention the board ref of the eprom so can also try and identify it- will be U--- something
BTHW There is a supplier of blank /ready to burn eeproms on ebay (usually 16 pins ) although advert is for laptops eproms -generically same chips and programming (?)
Thinking of reprogramming the identified Vistron eprom using a Samsung eprom chip dump (ie or another suitable .bin file)for 37 inch model via the TV 's serial interface port connected to my laptop.
This is way I believe most corrupt eproms are corrected by TV Techs very tricky but doable with patience
otherwise swopping in proven Tv eproms might be a solution ?
Ur Info and comments would be welcome Cheers Les
