Hi Chris, tubes wern't smashed. They looked as if there had been liquid spillage & the ends had corroded. I've taken some from a 19" screen smash & positioned them centrally along the bottom you have to look really hard to see tiny shadow in corner. Thanks for your input, Doug.

You've now got me to save all those monitor tubes as well in case someone needs 'em

Hope to become a dispensing Quuq 'Super Hero' at some point B4 attic space runs out - Chris

Hi Daz,

Haven't seen many 22" monitors yet, but today a LG W2230S 22" (Economy 2 tube 2009 model) turned up. Pic initially dark then inverter cut - tube prob, do you think  - Chris.

PS - replaced in-line PS.

Common one Chris,
Try gripping the connectors together, we get a lot of these, take care.

Hi folks,

Tried again with workshop inverter that now cuts on duff tubes and it cut on the top one - same size as Daz wants - 490mm 'ish single, think to try Doug's short tube solution as I have lots of them - sure customer won't notice  - Chris.

Later - 400mm tube fitted, evident dark patches top left and right - big prob though is a curious pulsing pattern on the screen - probably non - matching tubes on it's single inverter transformer ?

Think Janongpao's price would this time still give a small margin, esp as they are doubles, and I only need one tube. Think to go for it, although even when I handle carefully, those bendy 3mm tubes still mostly go phut on re-assembly - not to worry - robust LED strips are next week jobs, and with no added mercury  -

Just noticed that post is 20 Quid or so cheapest, bit cheaper to America -  Thinking again -   Chris.

Hi Chris
Do you still need a tube for this set? Ordered some from china, one didn't survive the trip (packaging woeful) it’s a double unit, one tube is still ok, yours if you want it.
