LG 26LC55 - Power EAY3303030
« on: September 21, 2011,13:08:03 »
Hi folks,

Had one in today where sound was OK and pic comprised 4 monochrome horizontal bands. Cust said pic was perfect after an hour or so.

Have a P/S caps feeling and as there are no obvious back threads thought to upload a pic and be told by them what know which caps to check/replace

Thanks - Chris

PS - Proud to say this was done on a 2 stroke generator as my part of Norfolk has gone orf, again.

Don't want to rain on your parade but had a few of these with faulty tcons only prob is on the newish range the cheap crap screens their using have the ribbons from the screen glued/bonded onto the tcon so you can't change it I eventually resorted to those wee sellotape white sticky mounting pads between the screen ribbons and the metal frame it did work how long for I don't know but it did work !  :08:

Hi Dave, and thanks.

Glad to note leccy has made the old A30 trip - When set eventually came on perfectly, I found that twisting the top caused picture to move then stop - Guess you're right Jimca, and the set only three years old.

Not yet an earner but should get it back when cust gets a nice wee Technica and points.

Thanks again - Chris.
