Samsung LE19B450C4W
« on: September 25, 2011,08:10:09 »
Hi folks,

Have one of these that makes the usual start up Fa/Da  - screen briefly lights with OSG then nothing, not even the S/by led.    Set appears to be in sulk mode and ignors control.  PS voltages remain at 5V and 15V.

Guess it might be in the inverter area but transformer secondary ohms are identical and caps look OK.

Any thoughts ?  - Thanks - Chris.

Hi Chris ..
Recognise that invertor transformer ...and is known to be a troublemaker ..
Had a few burn/arc internally..but read ok cold
In the old days I would quote for a new pcb ..
but ..I think CHS now stock the transformer on its own ..

Sorry Chris ...
Didn't have a scrap board to hand to reference the transformer number ..
All I could remember ...top of the head...was that I recognised the transformer and had previously obtained one from CHS (ChasHyde)..

Wicked - Evan,

Some old folks have nothing better to do but to try get details.

Must get a secondary life of sorts, but as a humanist - still rather doubtful - Chris

I can only appologise ...
I had it confused with this chappy

CHS pt no :- 3547177

Thats what comes of not having a panel in front of me to look at..
Chances are a special order enquiry with Jo at CHS will get results ..
The one I was thinking of was cheap enough ...but as I now realise ...is different to yours.
Sorry Chris

As I said ..I appologise for getting his hopes up ..
I honestly thought I recognised the transformer ..
Since I didn't actually have a board in front of me ...I just assumed... wrongly I admit...they were one and the same.
It is well over 6 months since I saw one ...and my memory ain't as sharp as it once was.

had to do some digging on past CHS orders to come up with the one I thought it was ...and the photo.
In future I'll keep my gob shut ..unless I'm 100%
;)

Hi Dave,

Note that some of these trannies are pin similar - some are even cheap. Haven't yet checked secondary resistance of my Sammy, but bet as you have one, you have.

Have a small pile of NYD741FC  - fits  Samsung LS 22TDVSUV/EN (4 tube set) 700 Ohm dual secondaries.

Just a thought - Chris
