Toshiba 37X3030d Firmware Upgrade?
brainstorm:
Hi
What size card are you using?
You need to be using 512Mb or less
Did you format the card first?
It could be that the freeview board is faulty, although firmware works 9 times out of 10
You have got the correct firmware

All Mod Cons:
Hi Brian,
ah..... this is a lexar 1GB card. Could that be my problem then - that the card is too big?
No I didn't format it. Does the Cabot tool do this?
Thanks,
All Mod Cons:
I've formatted the card as FAT32 - is this correct?
Just used the cabot again which appears to be writing to the card, but then if I try to browse the contents of the card from the PC, nothing is found...... ?
All Mod Cons:
Hi Brian,
I now have a 512mb card. The card came initialised as FAT. The Cabot tool wrote to it ok and I tried reading back from the card using cabot and then looking at it via Notepad. I showed that something had been written.
Loading the card into the TV shows 'updating' and then 'Done', but it hasn't fixed the problem with the menus.
Could it be that I have the card initialised in the wrong format?
Also I noticed that the LED insdie the casing is not flashing during load. The instructions implied that it should. Any ideas? Thanks,
Richard
brainstorm:
Hi
It looks like you may have a faulty freeview board, i have re-checked the instructions and Toshiba advise using a CF card and adaptor, but I always use a SD card and adaptor with no problems.
One final thought how are you formatting the SD card? I always format my card in my camera, so it may be worth trying it that way
The cabot tool just loads it on the card for you
Brian
