GTV42P4 issue

Hi people!

I have had a goodmans GTV42P4 in my basement for about 4 years now, it went pop and lost the picture at the time, thought no more of it and dumped out the way...

Thinking about it today and had another google and came acorrs this site, i see there is a simaler problem on here with a GTV42P6 so i would hope its the same problem, i just plugged it in to see if it still powers up, red standby light shows on the front and then after a few seconds changes to blue.

I can hear something buzzing lightly as it used to.

But alas no picture.

So the question is would it be an easy fix, i can solder and am clever enough to know how to handle such things.

Would pictures help anyone give advice?

Hopefully one of you kind people can point me in the right direction, i really do not want to go out and purchase another one as this cost me £1000 about 7 years ago.
