Cello MTV20D stuck in standby?
« on: November 29, 2011,12:06:18 »
Similar to my other thread here - http://www.tv.quuq.org/forum/index.php?topic=5790.0 I also have a 20" Cello TV with built in DVD player which has a similar (symptoms I mean) issue.

Stuck in standby.

You hit the power button on the TV, and the Standby light goes out for a few seconds but nothing powers up - then it comes back on.  No "power on" light comes on at any time.

This TV has an external power pack, and I am using a substitute so it can't be power board or anything like that - I assume?

I am not sure if I can see the screen flickering ever so slightly between the states, like you might get if the full black screen was activating - without a backlight - could be my imagination.

Any ideas on this, and my other thread, would be very greatly appreciated!

Hi R/S
Had a cello 22" today, when powered on screen flickered very briefly and nothing else.
There was a small power board inside with 3 faulty 1000uf 25v caps, didnt look faulty but esr showed them up.
Replaced the 3 and all was good again.
Hope this helps
John
