BN44=00189A low 5v
« on: December 02, 2011,09:06:28 »
Hi all

Any body got a suggestion for this fault on a sammy psu bn44-00189a

Low 5v standby giving a totally dead set. I've checked all the kit parts plus changed the viper22 chip. The voltage is low at 3.29v. Pulled all external connections and the voltage remains low. Also replaced 22uf in that circuit. No s/c fets or transistors.

Can't find a diagram for this psu

Help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Geoff

Hi,
I think the attached circuit might be similar.
I would check the feedback circuit, ICB851 and associated components.
Regards
John
