We have noticed over the last few monthes the amount of dead sets that have come in,only for it to be a faulty power lead.So before you grab your screwdriver,check with your meter.We all know how many screwes they use these days,hopefully will stop u losing some hair.   :93:

Well I nearly always use a known good workshop lead, so that rules out a lead fault.

On a related note, one of the many things I do id PAT testing.  It's surprising how many IEC leads I fail due to high resistance earth connections.  Tip to anyone doing PAT testing, keep a stock of replacement IEC leads with you to sell to the customer to replace the failed ones.
