BEKO 42WLU530HID (BL CHASSIS)
« on: December 13, 2011,05:53:16 »
The screen was flashing on the above set and CS25 was bulging (680uf 35v) , on replacement the set gives a good picture , but the cap runs very hot (fitted a 680uf 50v ) and i am not happy about sending the set back yet, anybody else had this fault.  cheers

Hi KBS ...
Did you use a 105c preferably 125c (Low-ESR) Low Impedance electrolytic ..
certainly a definate requirement in some 'high ripple' situations ..
They cost a little more ..but I almost always use this type of cap in psu repairs these days..
It helps prevent bounce backs..

Think i found the problem , there are 2 caps on both the master and slave invertor panels (470uf 35v) showing signs of wear changed these and the cap on the power supply runs cool now.
