Samsung LE40R88BDX/XEU
paulb1970:
Evening all , :sign0144: so be gentle ,
just aquired a samsung LE40R88BDX/XEU
It needed the caps done so i done them and still wouldnt work so found info on google which was linked to this group so ive joined up ...
still wouldnt kick in so i read up about the eeprom problems with this model but there was no way i could solder a wire to leg 5 & 6 on the eeprom - so opted for the shorting it out with a screw driver ,
eventually after 30-40 goes it finally kicked in and now its working - had a bit trouble getting DTV to work but sorted now ,
the problem ive now got is on my source list the only active ones are : TV , Ext 1 , Ext 2 , DTV ...
Not active are : AV , S-Video , Component , Pc , HDMI 1 2 & 3 ...
i adjusted the settings in service mode as per Kilroys link on group but still no joy ...
Any help much appreciated or a copy of settings which are good for this model ...
cheers
Paul

cheers amick ;)
i'll give them a go and re-post the result ...
i got this for free and now the caps are done and eeprom sorted the DTV picture is ok so hopefully these settings off amick will kick the rest of the other sources in , its for my daughters room as her other tv is only a 19" and shes wingeing ( kids eh ) but need to sort them for her DVD and wot not , so sparky hopefully i wont need eeprom changed as i could never do it lol but will look into finding someone close to me to enquire about changing it if needed ...
Thanks for the Help & Advice guy's ... much appreciated :13:

ok i wrote all my settings down then changed them all to the settings amick sent me ....
now i have lost DTV aswell and cant get any pictures tuned in on analogue keeps saying check aerial ...
so i put all the settings back to the 1's i had before and still no DTV or any analogue channels ...
is there any more settings out there that will work with this model ???
also is there 1 of the settings if it is wrong - will stop it detecting an aerial ???
much appreciated guy's ;)
