have you had the rear cover cover off and checked for bulged caps or checked for shorts on the vs and va lines, have you monitored or scoped the 5v line at all, have you tried to obtain the service manual or indeed tried to read other posts on this problem, its certainly a conundrum!

chrissie this not personal m8, but if you do the basic checks you might be able to get more help from the techs this is why they are getting pi..ed off. we need these guys.

I don't know if same exact model number but I repaired a few th42 in the last two months all three were rjk5020 in smps good luck.
