Hi folks,

Have one of these (a Thomson clone) that refuses to update though have tried most everything suggested by TopUp tv and other websites - forced up-date does nothing at all.

Gets half way through retuning then set displays picture (attached)

Notice it has a RS232 socket on the back - any chance of soft/firm-ware (thanks Brian) update ?  recently had total success up-dating several Vestel PVR models that initially died in the November 2011  (Tacolneston  updates)

chris had siml fault on thomson to up box's in this area there is 4 different
transmitters when they all switched anologe off i think i got in touch
with uk digital and explained the fault need to load info in manually
find what transmitter it is and email them they will tell you what
settings are we have waltham,belmont,emley moor and sutton coalfield
did one auto saved over 300 dig channels but none would display
once installed manually fault cured

Found an interesting site 'http://www.vestelpvr.futaura.co.uk/T816.php' and downloaded file for PVR listed as Vestel T845. Trouble is, such files are usually .bin but this one was an lbs file. PVR seemed to accept it but it made no difference with software version still 3.08. with the same no Channel 5 load-up screen although set is always set to channel 5.

Odd one, never normally would watch Ch5  - Had to,  Find it just a bit crap, and with no useful downloads  -  Chris.
