hi can you get s/mode info on screen as this set uses 5 different screens make sure panel knows what screen its trying to work ie bottom of cabinet sticker with 3 numbers in a box  press 062598 menu then the numbers tv will shut down to indicate accepted if you can see s/mode menu try holding menu on tv to put back to virgin mode .ps looked on philips site last update for this chassis was 2008

Hi,
You'll need 'Compair' to update software on this chassis,
I don't know of any other way.

does appear to be LC7.5Ela chassis have downloaded service manual and have managed with a struggle to get into SAM. throws up various fault codes but puts code 12 up as soon as you reset, also gives 22 and 13 but not immediatly. Also op codes do not match those posted on back but do not match codes in service manual either.IE.  152.167.047.081.252.027.019 codes on back are 147.023.106.223.077.242.006.I have spent far to long on this set allready for it to be viable repair but would like to resolve prob as it is doing my head in!Sorry Dave but different from prob you indicated refers to later mod but thanks any way.
