42PF7520D/10 Plasma tv
« on: September 06, 2012,07:28:51 »
I have a 42PF7520D/10 Philips Plasma tv
The TV was working fine until just recently when it started to become difficult to turn on.
Now it will only stay on for a few seconds the turn it back off
I read a few posts on this forum and it seems like its the power supply. A post of this forum have said to
Check/replace,
Caps.2465/2508/2540/2541, all 100mfd.
What do you recommend i check?

Check or replace both relays on PSU
Check transformers on PSU for dry joints
Check speakers for O/C
Check C-2350,2387,2487,2510,2397

Hi,
You have to provide the number from PSU because in this model you can have screen  Fujitsu, Samsung or Lg and only the mainboard is the same...If you have the Fujitsu then god luck! You can write a book about repair this PSU....
Anyway just let us know about PSU

paulwma, the C numbers in your original post are the most likely offenders - all 100uF/16V.

That means you have 'famous' PSU with Fujitsu_Hitachi PDP panel ;)
Have you replaced these capacitors .2465/2508/2540/2541?
Any blinks on LED ?
