I HAVE A LG 37LC55 SET CAME IN WITH CAPS BLOWN IN THE USUAL LOCATIONS
SETS SEEMS TO POWER UP WITH ALL FUNCTIONS START FIRST TIME INSTALATION RETUNES FINE ALL WORKING OK.

POWER DOWN SET AND POWER UP AGAIN GREY SCREEN WITH SOUND UNABLE TO RESPOND TO REMOTE OF SIDE BUTTONS. POWER DOWN BY MAINS LEAVE APPROX 20/30 MINS POWER UP ALL NORMAL SET WORKS FOR AROUND 30 MINS THEN SCREEN GOES GREY AND LOSS OF REOME CONTROL AND SIDE BUTTON FUNCTIONS.

ANY IDEAS BOFFINS ?

test the rest of the caps with esr meter in the power supply if all ok, try a epprom reset

Hi,
I seem to recall there was a service bulletin a while ago for lots of intermittent problems
due to intermittent 'Ceratech' chokes.
Have a search on this forum, using the word ceratech'

Check C503 and C901 on the main board.
