Try unplugging z-sus from power board. If the tv stays on, replace the z-sus but check the heatsinks on the new board. If they overheat, you'll have to replace the control board as well.

I have this set in also, unplugging the z sus gives a picture again but snowy! what are the chances of a replacement Z board being a long term fix? have heard they can pop again soon after being replaced.

Also seen repair kits on Ebay?

Any advice welcome

thanks Ronnie

Ok I bought the repair kit for this fault, it has worked, it has parts for the z board and a load of capacitors for the control board.

But the heatsink on the z board gets VERY hot! and control board giving 4 flashes even tho the picture has been restored, not leaving it on for any lengh of time as I think the z board would blow again!

Anyone any ideas?

thanks Ronnie

Maybe a new logic board will fix it. I believe it has upgraded software to fix this problem.

Thanks for the reply, I spoke to the guy I bought the kit from, he said it's normal for the heatsink to be hot and should be ok as long as you fit the new smd caps to the control board

Had it running for about an hour with no probs? temp on heatsink about 50 degrees, fingers crossed
