Toshiba 37AV502r
« on: December 22, 2012,08:30:44 »
Hi
Still having the same problem with my 2009 Toshiba 37AV502r. Turns on, picture is great, starts cycling on and off after 2-10 minutes. checked for dry joints, soldered a few suspect ones, caps look good(no leaks or bulges)Thinking power supply board(pk101v1080i) but it looks like this is hard to find.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hi,
Possibly the inverter, or LCD control panel causing the problem, try taking out
the plugs to these panels one at a time, and see if the set stays on.
Otherwise, this could be temperature related, try using a hairdryer to see if
this will cause the fault to appear quicker, (warming power-supply pcb. etc.)
then freezer spray to try to narrow down the suspect component(s).
regards
