gsmgsa:
Thank you. I have the correct option code, I have saved it before all this, but i cannot insert it into TV by any means. Short the pins doesn't work. SDM or SCM not available when THERE IS NO PICTURE. Anybody got the EEprom BIN file with the original option code? Thanks again.

hi,to insert the correct display option code you have to digit '062598MENU***' where the stars stand for the three digit option code as on the side sticker on the tv.if the code is right ,the set goes by itself in stand by.turn it on by the remote.there's no need to put the tv into sam to write the option code.

Hi! I just told you I cannot put it into SAM mode! TV won't even BOOT!! I guess that by the time when it inquires Ethernet controller on the I2C Bus, it stops when there's no answer from that IC (cause it doesn't exist), and after a minute or so with just blue led and no picture, it automatically switches off, then on again with blue light and no picture for about 3-4 seconds and off for good. Only ON/OFF switch on the TV set itself can be used to power it on again.
Nobody messed the option code for the screen, screen is still available but only in FW UPGRADE MODE (remote in DVD mode, OK kept pressed and put mains ON => TV goes into FW upgrade mode, with picture on the screen and all, but from this state I cannot visualize anything else on screen, nor can I induce SAM or SDM by any means when TV is in FW upgrade mode). Thank You!

Hi Michael, thanks for your input. That LCD code is good. The code for Ethernet is wrong, and now TV won't boot. Need a solution to switch ethernet option code back to OFF. Tv stays with blue led for a while - about one minute, and during this time it does not react at all to code 062598MENU006- in my case for LCD Sharp 32 inch. I guess it's because it does not complete the boot sequence because of the absence of Ethernet controller that does not respond on IIC bus because it doesn't exist on board.
Any solution to put back OFF option code for Ethernet on this JL2.1E chasis - much appreciated!
