17PW20-1/17PW15-9 Remote control Issue

Hi all

Anyone help me with this one, I have a fault with a 17PW20, I fitted reliability kit as the set was stuck in standby, but i have found another fault that at first I thought was the main board, when you turn the tv on by the remote it flashes and cuts back out again, if you use the touch buttons fine, and no other issues with the tv, once on the remote works fine.

At first I thought I may have a problem with the remote sensor but no its fine, then I thought main board issue but I interchange the board with another vestel and the same fault happened on the other tv, so its defo a psu issue, any one else come across this before and if so a couple of pointers please,

Check the 5v standby supply it may be low. This is supplied by IC829 a 78L05 but some versions it is a transistor with extra components. I believe not all kits come with both types, did you replace this part with the correct one? Check what you removed if you still have it.

Thank you, I did change it but will check it, need to do a couple of other checks too because I have been watching the tv today and noticed the B/L's are flickering a little.
