ATEC AV371DS Colour cycling like Vestel
« on: February 03, 2013,06:30:10 »
Just took in an ATEC AV371DS which when powered up cycles through colour screens like the vestel chassis.
Just wondered if anyone had seen this before, pressing menu on remote has no effect, can't seem to find any info on it anywhere but board is marked as Lepanto rev H06

Cheers in advance

Clark

Hi
I had one with the same fault, is the remote the original, I believe the menu button trick only works with the original remote, I changed the eprom on the one I had and still no joy so I ended up changing the main board, you cant do nothing to turn the screen burn mode off when its cycling, as you cant access the S/menu.

Only thing you can do is reinitialise the eeprom by shorting pins 5 and 6. Turn on the tv and sever the short.
This has been successful for me on a variety of brands .

And if it doesn't work you've either blanked the eeprom or corrupted the program. You do that on a pc forum you get called a cowboy & damage the machine, it only works on a few models but if you can't fix it then at least no-one else can. :33:

Well, it's bin fodder then. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
