Hitachi 42PMA400E plasma fault
« on: February 11, 2008,17:44:01 »
I received this faulty. From power up the green light comes on, fan starts up, runs for 2 sec, fan stops, 30 seconds later orange light (standby). Try to take it out of standby (menu or sub-power) and green light on, no fan, 30 seconds later returns to orange. In the 2 seconds the various non-standby PSU volts including Vs and Va come up OK.

I did a full board exchange with another set (smashed plasma module so not sure of previous working condition) and no difference.

Ran panelinf and shows error 46 (Vey power startup fault) and 6d (Vpx and Vpy is excessive) but service manual doesn't tell you what Vey etc. do and the correct values? and it's not obvious if these errors are current. The service sheet says the Y-SUS or LOGIC boards are faulty.

Seems like it's the plasma module, before I scrap the set how can I prove it? Is there any information on the X-SUS Y-SUS boards they are NA18106-5008/9?
