Advent Red Monza

I have an advent red monza laptop given to me by a friend with a brocken screen, the brocken screen was coming on without display and I can hear a clicking noise from the hard drive.I changed the screen with the correct replacement, but he screen came on and off and now does not come on.the laptop comes on but no scrren, I have tried the rams but they are all good, can anyone help.
