« on: July 17, 2013,09:17:13 »
anyone have any experience working on sharp tv.s

i have a Sharp AQUOS 60LE741E comming in soon. apparently set is completely dead & no white standby light . so i guess no standby 5v

the power supply board is Sharp RUNTKA932WJQz same as the picture i have attached so just wondering if anyone has repaired this board before with same symptoms and what components are the usual cause.

thanks

No hidden power switch ?
No, then take a look at ic7903, looks to be a 5v stby ic TNYxxx
and of course components around.
Pin 5 should be 300V.

ok got tv in today.

i have spotted straight away that the q7801 transistor looks burnt and has i checked and its short.

its also took out the small d7804 surface mount diode underneith. i dont know the part number for these.

im pretty sure theres no a repair kit so it might need a new power board.
