Picture Freeze
« on: September 06, 2013,13:55:43 »
Sanyo CE32LDY1-B
The picture regularly freezes.  Once frozen the TV buttons and all remote buttons are un-useable.  TV has to be re-set by mains switch off then on again.  Believe this is a common fault on this model but cant seem to find any info on the cause.
Any idea's anyone ??  :41:

This model I believe was based on the 32LD4 but had better styling and audio. There were problems in early production with the type of memory used on the scaler.

It was changed from ISSI to Samsung together with a software upgrade to solve these issues. The software upgrade could only be carried out by Sanyo and the scaler was available on an exchange basis.

I did have some succes by just changing the two memory chips which are on the rear of the pcb but I'm afraid I can't remember the Samsung type number used. Wish I could get some upgraded memory for my brain. :57:
