Hello,
I hope you all could help point to my TV problems.  They started a month ago with the blinking on/off LED and black screen and the remote was useless.  After that we could only watch one channel at a time and could only switch to a different channel by holding the Up button on the TV while switching the channel with the Up arrow on the remote.  Then the TV started to turn on/off by itself during the night.  Then the Menu screen or the Input list screen started to pop up; the remote stopped working during this time.  After reading various forums and watching Youtube videos, we managed to get the remote working temporarily to access the TV's hidden menu and did the factory reset.  After the reset, the TV and remote worked fine without these problems for 6-20 hours regardless of whether we chose the "Store" or "Home" option during the reset.  We used various pre-set picture settings (vivid, standard, etc.) during this time.

We just now decided to change the Picture settings to vivid but with minor changes to the contrast, brightness, tint, etc. The current setting is now shown as "vividuser" under the Picture option on the TV. After 23 hours, the same problems reappeared.  BTW, the caps on the PS board look fine without any bulging or leaking problem, and the picture on the TV still looks great after 5+ years.

Any idea on what causes these problems or how we could fix them permanently?  Much appreciated.

Thanks, Michael!  I'll try it and let you know.  Is the keyboard the one with the Up/Down, Menu, etc., buttons on the TV?  Are the microswitches that you mentioned on this keyboard?  Should I disconnect it from the IR/LED board and leave it unplugged afterwards?

Hi,you're right the microswitches are mounted on the keyboard(menu,vol+,etc.).if the keyboard is defective you can let it disconnected or replace it with a new one.the remote works the same when the keyboard is disconnected.

Hello Michael,
You're right, the remote works fine with the disconnected keyboard cable.  After I disconnected the cable, the TV still has the same problems, blinking LEDs (with flashing black screen with only the channel number at upper top right corner of screen) and stuck Menu/Input List.  After I managed to factory reset it, the problems were temporarily gone for about 6 hours.  When I opened up the TV, I didn't find any loose cables or anything.  Any other suggestions?  Thanks!
