this set seems a vertical problem,change la78040 n all the caps around but the fault remains the same: a white  line vertical n above it 5 cms raster! if any one knows something plz help

Hi,if the line is vertical,running from top to bottom of screen,you have a horizontal fault. Probable causes are bad scan coil plug connections or open circuit line scan coupling capacitor.Hope this helps.
