This set works fine,but no remote functions...checked remote,that's ok....any repair solutions guys..

Not a given, but look on the small IR rcvr board for 2 or 3 smd caps near the actual IR device. Have had a good many such blue ribbon brands where these caps go leaky. If so, replace with a trusty electro, usual value is of the order of 10 to 22uF.In circuit they will read like a diode and are across the 5V supply to the IR device.

Hi Chrissie,

Tend to check IR receiver voltages - 5V supply and output which tends to vary with RCU input if things are OK.

recall a while ago, IR receivers were a problem, haven't had a duff one for a while - Chris.
