Hi Chrissie,

Maybe no video input - usual for a blue screen - try pushing in the Scart plug if set is used on Sky, otherwise, no idea at all - Chris.

So, is it going to Blue Mute (blue background with no signal)? Means the backlight LEDs are working. Check the power supply outputs. If the volts are normal, 12V, 3.5V etc, then look at the T-Con (open fuse maybe).
Is this one of those smart tvs with all the bells and whistles? Any OSD? unfortunately you need the LG service remote to check panel via test patterns. As that sage Turnip suggested, it may have to detect an input to produce a display.

Hi Bruce,

Would an O/C T-con fuse result in a blue screen ?

Gather Blue mute is generated by the main board with no signal, to indicate this condition.

Not so much a Sage, more the humble Turnip.

Great to see Quuq mails with considerable humour and near perfect English all round - Chris.

Aye Aye to the English, Turnip......spellcheck would be handy. Correct about blue mute but a very muted blue screen may result if the T-Con is knackered. Chrissie is not very forthcoming with his fault description or initial diagnostics...........maybe it's to keep us circulating on our toes. No offence, Chrissie, merely jesting. A tad of sage might make the turnip more palatable.

Hi Bruce,

Just a Turnip, you could well be a Quuq Sage, but you have serious competition from Quuq Super Heros, who can't spell and have troubles expressing - well, most anything.

Bruce fer me, as you go for both Dickens and Shakespere - Real Cool LCD Dudes - Chris

Situation as Mr. Micawber would have described it:

Annual income, twenty pounds, annual expenditure, nineteen pounds, nineteen shillings and six pence.

Your needy quid is most elusive. Hence need for humble turnip.

Hi Bruce,

Really well said, feel myself on a Yarmouth beach, Well, I was born there, but never re-discovered Peggotty.

Noticed however, back in the 60's that there were DUKW's in the locality, that Dickens never mentioned.

Guess real folks will have trouble with DUKW's - Admit have a full fist-full of docs.

6 Litre straight 6 engine, and too many other features to list - though I could.

Micawber is me - but still penniless, as a Norfolk chap.

Hi Bruce,

Didn't think bother to mention differences between Peggotty and DUCW's, as real folks don't bother read anything these-days.

Norfolk is still pretty nifty - Chris.
