Hi guys,The ysus p.c.b. failed on this set,so I ordered panel kit from c.h.s.tried fitting all three panels in kit but end up with no picture but sound.My control p.c.b. is larger than the new one in kit & is marked6871qch053c(not on the list)if I leave the new ysus/zsus p.c.b's in & the old control p.c.b. the set then gives a picture but very noisey in back ground no amount of setting up seems to alter this.any body got any ideas before I go mad & do something I might regret later to this fine example of modern tech.

very easy heres what you do fit the new 42v7 y sus & z sus boards only with your old original logic board so fit the 2 big boards & leave the original logic board in the tv as the logic boards that come with the 42v7 kits dont give any picture do that and your set will be ok

Hi, I am being thick here, he is doing as you suggest but it gives a dark picture, do you have any suggestions?

if its giving a dark picture with a new y sus and z sus then you need to replace the ctrl logic board with the correct 1 of the same number which is found in the pdp42v7 range of plasma"s the original logic board is prob duff if its sounds loud

Now picture coming up ok but flashing to black every 3-5 second
Trying put new MAIN board no changes still flashing

Did you try putting original CTRL board back ?
(Original Ysus-Kit nr for Hitachi is VS20326385)

But what you think can leave like that in????????

I was repairing lots of tv`s 42PD3200 replacing Kit from charlysyde

But last two kits whitch i bought. Have same problem with flashing picture.Probably i must contact charlysyde.


Same kit from hitachi cost £207+vat
And if set is out of waranty?????????

Hi Mulja, it usually works ok with old logic board,I have done this a few times. Charles Hyde seem aware of the problem and advise using old logic board. It doesn,t seem to do any harm. Norman
