Hi Folks,

Well, it's anything else, and try mend most anything for the pound.

Have a Karcher K6.80 where the pressure valve is stuck in the 'Off' position.

Gather it's corrosion, but can't get the piston out to fix it.

Wonder if anyone knows - Chris

Under pressure? I did own one of these and did pull it apart, but memory is fading. Unit 10 in the diagram has a wobulator disc which operates each of 3 pistons inside in turn with each rotation. I found that 2 of the pistons weren't generating any pressure, so it was put out for kerbside clean-up. Twas whisked away by some roving scavenger in no time. Too bad I cant recall how it came apart, but beware of flying springs.

Just a thought - machine is turned on and off by pressing the lance control. When lance control isn't pressed, pressure valve switches the motor off due to excess pressure in the system. Pressing the lance control causes the motor to re-start as system pressure falls.

Would normally expect piston to be out on excess pressure, but in my case it's stuck in, and prevents motor functioning.

Thanks - Didn't want to take it apart as it's full of springs and seals. Was surprised to find no reference anywhere, including 'YouTube' for this model with that problem (which seems general for most models)

If I had a dozen/hundred in, would chance the arm to make the pound, but just one isn't worth the effort, as would prob take all week to get the thing together again, working.

Well Chris, that jogged my memory, as had exactly same fault on mine. With characteristic colonial enterprise of one Rufus Gutz, I bridged the switch out.Appeared to have no detrimental effect on the operation of the unit.
Certainly none of the innards headed skywards. Used it till the pistons gave out.....with hindsight, it might have been the reason they gave out. A new Gerni from Bunnings was cheap enough.

Not so sure Of 'Rufus Gutz' - guess he's one of those 'Progressive Rock' folks that I don't yet quite comprehend, although local leather sandalled folks with no socks try get me download 'em free from 'One's Tube'

Seems like we need to broaden your education......perhaps a holiday to our big brown land. Don't come by boat....you'll be turned back, and don't fly with a particularly oriental named airline....you'll be blasted out of the sky. Think take a while to investigate your suggestions - Are sandals without socks viable ?

Fortunately have a chum from NZ, who seems fairly normal although his computers always fail just months after I've sold them to him.

He is, however, a follower of Prem Rewat, and gets me copy countless hours of pure happiness from video to MP3.

Always tend to fall asleep before the 'Roller Man' comes to some enlightening crunch, if he ever does.
