Hi there,

I have a massive problem with my Samsung LE32A436T1DXKS I purchased about 5 years ago. Since 2 weeks it stopped recognizing my sat-receiver. I could fix it sometimes by tapping it gently by the side.

Now I hoped to fix it by cleaning it out... BAD IDEA!! I got rid of the dust and rid of my "tapping" solution. Now it´s completely gone. The main menu and all things work but not the Signal input sources from all 3 HDMI

I have some ideas about caps gone wild, but not here the PU seems to work fine the inverter looks in good shape as is the rest (Fotos attached). The only thing that seems a little used is one flat cable going from the mainboard to a central location from the LCD. I don´t really know if this cable plays a role in the HDMI-detection. None the less the TV detects that I have a device running on the HDMI input source by telling me "No Signal". Then, when I am turning it off it say´s no source connected. So it does recognize there is something connected. But it does not take the signal...

My first idea was to change the Mainboard (BN94-02741D) --> See Foto , but since there is no mainboard out there for me to change I ask you if you can give me some hints where the error could be. I can measure out but not the whole board. I would get crazy out of it. Also if someone knows that it would be a processor or some chip I do not get. Then i was worth while asking. But maybe someone has an Idea if the HDMI-Ports are interconnected with some source that might be broken, because this error happens with all three HDMI-Input sources.

I would be glad to hear from you.

Sincerely

Daniel

Hi Daniel,

Try another HD input device, just to check - Chris.

Hi Chris,

thank you for the idea but this was my first thing to  check. .. I aswell checked the cable and so on.

Belive me before I go and open a TV I'll try everything to avoid it... I'll Basic the ultimative thing I Do before giving in to the fact that the patient may be dead for some longer time... ;-)

Hi,Daniel

try to get to "Service Mode",go to "Option" table then go to "Control" set "Edid Protect" to Off then go to "Edid

Type"and switch to L12_***X***,go to Edid Write and press OK then get back to "Edid Protect" and set it to

"On".switch the tv off and on again, and the job is done(I hope so!).Cheers.

Hey Michael,

that was something new. Never went into a service mode before. Thank you for the information! Now we have some "news". At least I now know that the TV does not load the EDID anymore. It´s not recognizing it anymore.

Strangely enough first I got the info that everything is ok (sucess) by comming to the service mode but as soon as I wanted to reload it got this error saying: L12 1366_768: Failure A1  H1 H2 H3

It´s not coming out as a "success". And now the HDMI-Ports are even switched off permanently in the TV, so I can´t even switch to that particular sources anymore...

Now there should be something majorly burned or not responding anymore. As I said there´s nothing visually burned or looking bad.

Maybe you have a clue what to do next by looking at this type of error...

I am eager to find out if I can set this TV up again. Let´s say I caught "fire" but I´m not giving up so easy now. Maybe there is a certain part of the TV that is affected by that type of error...

Thank you again for this information, Michael

Hope to hear from you

Daniel

PS: I uploaded some fotos of the menu, so you can see the text for yourself (I couldn´t switch the second and the third attachments so go after the initial numbers --> I left out foto nr 2 becaus it wasn´t that important as I could only upload 4 fotos at a time...)

Hi,glad to hear of you,so there's one more thing to do,always in the Control Menu go to EEPROM Reset

and enable it so to reload the initial parameters,if still doesn't work you have a hardware problem so

consider the replacement of the main board.anyway you can retry to change the HDMI version as

described, maybe the second time will work!  Cheers.

Hi Michael,

today I finally decided to buy another mainboard as there were no real improvements and programming eeproms (well there are still sooo many other things to do, as fixing my broke glass from a used mobile I just bought and so on)

... Hope this will work out as it is missing one HDMI-input, but it is only one letter different. So I think it will work out.

I´ll give you a hail if I´m done as the board is coming overseas and I´m gone for 2 weeks as from 17th. I´ll keep you updated right after I changed the board. At least you´ll know then, if it helped.

After this I´ll close the thread.

Thanks to everyone again for helping me out on this!
Learned alot.

C ya Daniel
