Panasonic TX26LXD60 "Please Wait"

Hi,

This set was stuck on one programme so I went to the set up menu and tried "shipping condition" , set came up with "please wait" and then started tuning but stopped on the first multiplex and stayed there without finding any programmes.

Any ideas?

Hi Geoffrey,

Have you first selected "DTV". The [TV] button at the top of the remote selects ATV or DTV.

If no improvement after DTV is selected, go to downloads section of this forum and download TX32LX60 service manual and perform the Self Check detailed therein. Where it states "Off-Timer" for that model, substitute "Menu" for your model. Look at the "D-TUN" line.

All entries should have "OK" beside them. If it displays "NG" it means No Good. Exiting the Self Check will activate the Industry Initialisation. Try tuning again.

If no success, the DG Board will be faulty. Had a Sanyo LCD doing same last week....had to put in a new Main Board. Tuner was probably the cause but they don't make them easy to remove.

Dear Bruce,

Many thanks for your reply I have tried DTV and analogue several times each and been through the manual.

Friend called in and I said " you try it", he did,  went to shipping condition - OK twice - switched off as per the instruction book and when switched back on, it tuned itself in and is working.
