this set clicks on for a second screen flashes and goes off relay keeps clicking then, all caps look ok the clicking continues with cn809 and cn810 disconnected. any ideas appreciated

Hi Al,

Try disconnecting CN807. If the clicking ceases, I'd say Logic Board, but if it continues, then the fault is on the Power supply Board. You can pull the PSU out and run it on the bench. You will have to fool the PS-ON pin...a lot of Samsungs take it to ground for it to activate the PSU.
