Hi, I have a 19inch tv/dvd and ive lost the remore. The screen is on dvd but there is no dvd in it and I have tried to manually change the channel onto dtv but it stays on the dvd channel. Would it work if I bought a new replacement remote for it?? :41:

If you press [Source] on the tv control panel, does the list of inputs show up on the screen? If yes, channel up [^] or channel down [v] should move the highlight bar through the various inputs. If it doesn't, then either the buttons on the control panel, or the main board, is faulty.

Hi TT,

Note you didn't mention either make or model. Guess you should, as good Quuq folks could be fumbling about in the dark, trying to be helpful - As they ever are - Chris.

Ah Chris, the wisdom of the humble swede. I resemble that remark.

Hi Bruce,

Guess by your reply you've had a glass of jollity, or two.

Swedes are not Turnips, suggest you read some Thomas Hardy, where the differences are obvious.

Not quite sure what you might be, but guess something from Dickens exported to the isles for Sheep stealing.

Wasn't there a chap in Bleak House who was a bit doubtful as he couldn't quite get the grip of cash.

He had none himself but screwed all other folks.

Admit Dickens knew such a chap, and thought him an Asshole (Wikky) but didn't use his real name
in the book for some decent reasons.

Righteo Chris,

Here's to the new year! A forlorn hope that it's more bountiful, or I might have to emulate Fagan and hire

the services of Jack Dawkins aka The Artful Dodger, to whom I suspect you refer. Alas, once a crim........

Legend has it that he became a bushranger or a cattle rustler or some such tea-leaf. Unfortunately, there

was no extradition treaty with the mother country at that time, so his rellies are still here.

Hi Bruce, and well said,
Guess you have sorted Dickens, well, a bit in his best received novels where decent folks had a decent comeuppance, and Jews were ever on the run, for some reason.

Must admit that in 'The Merchant of Venice' I drooled over that gal - she had real balls - Chris
