Sharp LC-26AD5E - P/S problem.
« on: May 09, 2015,11:44:54 »
Hi folks,

Had one in that went straight to Green LED but set didn't work. Noticed with the 32 inch version a Quuq chap suggested F404(1.6A) probably O/C and also IC404(KIA431A-AT) should be checked.

F404(1.6A) (main Tx 12v O/P) was O/C, so replaced, set then worked, but couldn't see the link to IC404 on S/by feedback.

Only mention out of interest - Chris.

Hi Chris,

I'd venture to say that said chap is having a lend of you.......can't see any connection with IC404.

Service manual added to quuq downloads.

Hi Bruce and thanks, suspected might be the case, my diagrams were horribly difficult to read.

Just for fun, tried read Eeprom on a CV109H MB where set was doing odd things. Took maybe 40 attempts with the clip to get a reading - seemed OK compared with a held bin, but then found set was stuck in S/by.

Later discovered I'd knocked off L11(SMD) attempting read the chip, guess any SMD chip inductor might do, as shematics aren't to be had.

All fun - Chris.

Later - Replaced L11 with something off another board, found things the same, so changed Eeprom for a similar model - All OK apart from solarisation - Murphy C3298F from Cello C3298F - same panels and screen - So it goes.
