Samsung Smart 3D
« on: October 05, 2015,23:36:49 »
Hi,
A new Samsung LED 3D TV brought from grey market has no picture & OSD. Back light is on & remote working is normal. Model no is UE48H6200. There is separate tcon board attached to panel. The no on tcon is BN95-01309B. Obviously tcon boost IC is not generating boost voltages required for panel operation even after opening FFCs going to panel scalar boards. Pls guide.

Do you have sound? Try connecting to a source. If yes, T-Con or Main board faulty. Have you checked the
chip fuse on the T-Con or looked for data on the screen by using a light....you may see movement or OSD
info.

If no sound, check for 13V at pins 11,12 and 13 of CN201. If 13V is missing, blame the Main board.

hi,on this t-con there are 3 blue led;if all of them are 'on' the t-con is ok,if any of them is'off' the t-con or

the panel itself is defective.

Dear downunder, Since back light is OK, no use of looking for menu OSD using light. It is difficult to select a source & check if sound is OK.13V on CN201 is OK. Since remote is effective to put set in stand by I suppose may be MB is OK.
Dear Michel first, As u said there r three LEDs on Tcon, I remember two of them were glowing. In order to operate panel crystals: gamma correction voltages & Von(VGH),Voff(VGL) r required. These voltages r not being produced by boost IC on Tcon, panel is not operative.Again I will come with more information regarding this. There must be some reason behind why third LED on Tcon is not glowing.

Hello,
Had a similar fault recently on a Samsung control PCB,
mine had a large black heatsink, and when removed could see
an IC, number I think was 81224, was blown (had hole in it).
Replacement PCBl cured fault - no problem with the display.
