Hi All I have this LG 50PG6010 Fault is no picture All voltages look ok VA AND VS are there 5Vline looks ok,all fuses are ok as far as ican see Have checked for shorts on boath main boards and can find none. Any help much appricated .Thanks

Thanks Jordan have re soldered the y sus board but still the same fault ,all the heat sinks are cold .would a replacment board cure it

Hi Al,

Is the LED on the Control board blinking? Can you locate Auto Generator shorting pads/holes on the Control board. If so, disconnect Main board from power supply, short out the pads and turn the TV on. If PSU and scan circuits are operational, you'll get test patterns on the screen. If you do, blame the Main board. If you don't, you're none the wiser.

Know what you mean. There's no future in this job....it's a dying industry. We're getting thin on the ground.

No blinking LED is possibly a clue. Remove the flexicable between the Control and Y-Sus and turn the TV on . If LED returns, most likely a Y-SUS failure. If not, Control board or Main board come into the equation.
I think the flashing LED means the Control Board is receiving data from the Main. There is often a chip fuse or fuses on the Control board. Check these.

Common problem no picture with this model is usually the upper buffer.If you disconnect the board  the bottom half of the screen will come on . ebr500395005 or eax50051102 or eax50051101 can be had band new at wiltsgrove  £38 plus vat
