still like to keep hands on ,bit peeved as this is my own went poof  and took out tv with it sorted tv but the dvr need diagram to try to sort it i have a humax  as well but thats crap has usual problems and humax says buy new its only 16 months old arrh the philips machine has hours of films on it so will try to put right and old sky box not used anymore since retirement they stopped the discount.have you managed to sort the skybox pin code yet?
as the last 4 digits on card are usually the code ,theres no code on boxes its stored on card. you could get sky to send the code on mobile phone but they will ask for the account to verify its owner

this box was made by pace with philips badge on it ,wonder if any one has diagram from pace ,its a shame to to scrap

Think I mentioned the old chap wrote to 'Sky' who magically reinstated his code. Bit odd as chap couldn't have altered its code as not on line.

read oldy got pin code sorted eventualy.my pace /philips box not a sky one its freeview  need  diagram as its power input has a low resistence and it shuts down external psu (12v) tried several psu but same effect,removed hdd but same problem suspect a anti reverse diode across input but its all in smd,s.
need a magnifier glass just to see them aarr as no reply from any one looks like will have to test every thing on input so may be a long job ,computer wont recognise hdd to remove recorded progs

Have had a few Vestel boxes where either P/S resistors went O/C or Schottky diodes went S/C - Not in your case - Also zener diodes on the main board couldn't take the heat of something or other and went S/C

Admit never tried download the HDD to computer, guess some format 'Windows' doesn't understand, though feel it might be MP4 as takes less space than most anything else - Best of luck - Chris.

hi all just a quick update
found problem its a s/c 6pin device only problem its markings are APFBX q2096 looks like its a going in scrap bin as no reference available anywhere
