Sony KV32LS35V - FE2
« on: May 05, 2009,11:41:52 »
Hi Folks,

Have one of these with the 11 Led flash problem. Have checked everything listed here and elsewhere, and although there is the full rectified HT to the two P/S Fets, 'till the HT supply relay clicks out with that 'No 8v  business' and the drive chip start-up voltage is initially there, there are no secondary main P/S outputs. Line O/P is not S/C - for a change.

Any further thoughts, before I dust off the C.R.O, and have to think. ? - Chris.

Hi for a start if not already done change the LINE output transistor I have had a couple of these sets  but changing the transistor works even though it reads OK

Hi,

We have usually found this to be either the LOP transistor and / or the transformer. Occasionally the MCZ3001 in the PSU plays up also C641 470uF 16V in the standby PSU causes start up problems.

Good luck

Keith

Hi Keith,

Got back to it after a while when a scrapper turned up. Problem as you suggested was MCZ3001, and changed the 2SK2640 Fets for luck.

  Thanks again - Chris.

PS - Reason for long repair delay was the cost of the chip - some 20 pounds plus, well I'm a cheapskate, and don't want shelves full of loss leaders. Original cust had bought a new Sony 'Lite' after a couple of days anyway, as they do. Xmas is near, sure to shift it, It's a Sony, and awful heavy.
